Montevideo to Walvis Bay 2009
In early 2009 Keen Marine Limited joined the Royal Research Ship (RRS) James Cook on an expedition to conduct a transatlantic hydrographic section from Montevideo to Walvis Bay. This was a multi-disciplinary expedition the primary purpose of which was to survey water mass transport at 24˚ South. Keen Marine’s main responsibility was acquiring water column profile data with the ships 24-way CTD rosette and lowered ADCP’s throughout the voyage and analysing surface underway data.
